Airtel Introduces Hourly/Time Based Unlimited Internet Data Plan
It seems the
competition among the four major networks in the country has entered gear 4
this time around again, and that is what competitive market situation is all
about, as competing companies fight to offer best services at best prices.
Just after mentioning
to you that MTN has launched cheapest data of 500MB for N500 and 2GB at N1500,
Airtel on their part has just launched hourly/time based unlimited internet data plan.
Unlike when
Etisalat launched their own now defunct time based unlimited browsing that is
simply known as Etisalat PayGo or
the latter Etisalat 3hours for N15 package, which involves speed throttling at some
data usage point, the new Airtel hourly based unlimited Data plan runs completely
unlimited and without any speed throttling from the very first minute to the
last time duration for the plan.
Though the
Airtel time based unlimited data plan is similar in pricing with former
Etisalat PayGo plan but appear a little bit expensive as compared with the
latter Etisalat 3hours for N15 plan, but nevertheless, having unlimited data
for complete 1hour and without speed throttling is unbeatable for many and the
little higher price here will also matter little for them.
The new
Airtel time based unlimited data plan is of 4 different categories and all with
1 day maximum validity period.
We have the
1st category that goes for 5minute
for N15, the 2nd category
goes for 10minute for N30, the 3rd plan is 30min for N90 and finally the 4th package is the 1hour plan for N180.
How do I subscribe into any one of
these newly launched Airtel time based unlimited plans?
To subscribe
to any of the 4 Airtel time based unlimited data plans, simply dial the code *439# and then reply with the number
that corresponds with any of the 4 plans that best suits you, after which you
will be asked to reply with 1 to activate the plan.
Note that
this is not a tweak, but direct and legitimate data from Airtel, and it can be
used on any device of choice without any other special settings.
Remember
that we said that all the new Airtel time based plan has a one day validity
period, meaning that any unused time left will expire the next day.
