MTN Discontinues Cheapest Call Tariff Plan, MTN True Talk Plus
I don’t know
what is happening to our GSM network operators these days, after putting smiles
on subscribers faces they are now removing the smiles gradually.
Not long,
Glo increased monthly Blackberry plan of N1000 and this time around it is
MTN that is suspending their cheapest call tariff plan that offer MTN
subscribers the ability to make calls to all networks at 11K/S after N5 fee.
Though ever
since MTN introduced True Talk Plus Plan sometimes in the last quarter of last
year, they have been having issues with NCC on the plan following NCC ruling
that MTN did not follow due process by not duly informing them before going ahead
with the plan.
And if you
could remember then, the saga caused MTN to temporally suspend the plan before
reintroducing it.
But this
time around it seems the issue have come up again and MTN has finally and
officially suspended the True Talk call tariff plan.
Some of you
might have received the suspension text message that is currently been circulated
to MTN subscribers.
But similar
call plan to MTN True Talk Plus that other competing networks offer still exist.
Like for
Etisalat, they have it in their Etisalat Easy Life 4 call tariff plan, while
that of Glo is Glo Gbam Plus and Airtel have theirs in Airtel Smart Talk calltariff plan.
