Eurocom’s Sky X9W Laptop Comes With 5TB HD, 64GB RAM And 6 USB Ports
Eurocom is a
Canadian computer manufacturing company that recently launched a mind boggling
laptop, the Sky X9W device, which they commonly referred to as mobile
workstation.
The Sky X9W
was a complete upgrade from their former Sky X9 device that was launched late
last year.
Talking about
Eurocom’s latest Sky X9W laptop; the 17.3 inches display device is powered by a
quad core, Intel Core i7 Skylake-S 6700K SoC and an Intel Z170 Express Skylake
processor.
The GPU is
of the 8GB Nvidia Quadro M5000M or a single 200W desktop class 4GB Nvidia
GeForce GTX 980.
With those
heavy processing units, you should expect the device to run on more power and
at higher temperature, so thanks to its numerous cooling fans to handle the
heat.
Coming down
to the storage, Sky X9W comes with up to 5TB SSD in a raid 10 configuration and
the base RAM configuration starts with 16GB RAM and goes up to 64GB.
It has 6 USB
ports, and one of the ports harbours the USB 3.1 Type C port while the other 5
remaining ports are USB 3.0
With other
laptops generic hardware features, coming to the software front, one can choose
to run the device on Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.
Just as its
premium features appear, it also goes down to its pricing as the price of the
Sky X9W starts from $2,930 and can rise to whopping $11,473 for maximum configuration.
