Can Ntel SIM Work On 3G Phones And My Normal MTN, Airtel, Glo And Etisalat Modem (Dongle)?

As you might have known, Abuja residents only have been picking up their Ntel SIMs and if you also reside in Abuja, you can also visit the sole Transcorp Hilton collection centre for now to pick up your Ntel SIM.

As we mentioned in our previous post, the cost of Ntel SIM is actually N350 but currently Ntel is offering it for free for the Ntel Pioneers but you will be forced to opt in for any of the available 3 bouquet plans before you can collect your Ntel SIM.

Contrary to what you might have been seeing around currently pertaining to Lagos collection centres for Ntel SIM, it is important to note that as of this moment that Lagos collection centres have not been opened up and  the SIMs have not yet been delivered to Lagos, so it is only in Abuja that Ntel SIM is currently available.

Back to the major topic of the day; most of you have wanted to know if the Ntel SIM will work on your 3G phones and also if it will be compatible with your unlocked 3G MTN, Airtel, Glo or Etisalat modems.

But here is what you really need to know if you have also been nurturing that question in your mind;

It is sad to let you know that Ntel SIMs will not work on any of your 3G phones and the funny thing is that it will not even work on some of your 4G LTE enabled phones, as it has its own peculiar 4G bands which your 4G phone must be compatible with before it can work well on it.

Secondly, as regards to whether it will work on your 3G MTN, Airtel, Glo or Etisalat dongle; Ntel SIMs will also not work on any of your unlocked 3G modems that you are currently using, but will work on unlocked 4G MiFi router from Spectranet, Swift, Smile etc.

So if you have not gotten yourself a 4G enabled dongle or some specific 4G enabled phone, you should not bother much on getting an Ntel SIM for now as it might be as useless as you never expected before.
