Corning Gorilla Glass 5 With Toughest Display Protection Launches

Corning the manufacturers of the popular and tough mobile display protective coverings Corning Gorilla glass has unveiled its latest version dubbed Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Corning Gorilla glass 5 is said to be the direct successor of Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which was launched 2 years ago.

Many smartphones OEM have adopted Corning Gorilla glasses in the past for their device display protections and many more are still adopting Corning Gorilla glass in their newer devices.

This is simply because when it comes to screen protective coverings, Corning a New York based glass and ceramics industry has it all in terms of providing tough fibre glass protection for smartphones and other devices.

According to Coring, the latest entrant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is 4 times tougher than any of the closest competitive glass designs.

The Corning Gorilla glass 5 is tough and can survive breakage from drops on rough surfaces in an unbelievable manner.

Aside from protection of devices against breakage from drops, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is also said to deliver highest optical clarity and touch sensitivity during typing.

Corning claims that a laboratory test conducted on the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5 showed that out of every 100 devices dropped face down on a rough surface from a height of 1.6 meters, 80 of the devices survived the drop.

And it is also good to note that it is almost practically impossible for one to use their smartphones for a whole year without having it dropped on the floor one or more times, and for that the need of tougher protective glass coverings for devices that is obtainable in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 was made.
