Surprising! See The Network That Now Has The Best Internet Data Deduction Rate – No Zapping
Now these 4
network providers, MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat will not stop surprising us,
as today a particular network will be the fastest for browsing and downloading,
tomorrow it will shift hand to other networks.
In similar
way the data zapping is; today you will notice that a particular network zaps data;
the next day another network will take over.
Now when we
say the network that now has the best data deduction rate and does not zap, we
don’t mean that the network is the fastest for browsing and downloading, but
only that the data burn rate is normal.
I bet it
will shock you when you hear of the network that doesn’t zap data currently.
Now before
we go ahead to mention it, you might want to know how we get to discover that
the said network does not zap data, and we will be glad to tell you that.
Firstly is
through the personal experiment recently carried out by subscribing to data
plans on the entire networks and using them turn by turn on android device.
Secondly is
that when a particular or set of networks zap data, you will surely hear or see
people lamenting over them, but when the data deduction is normal on a network,
you will hardly hear anybody complaining about it.
Now straight to business, for Etisalat, we
cannot vouch for Etisalat network currently on whether it zaps data or not,
some will say it zaps, while some will say it does not.
But our personal
experience on our recent experiment shows that the data burn rate is quite
high, and thus we cannot categorically say that Etisalat does not zap data.
Coming down
to Airtel, Airtel has always been the culprit when it comes to data zapping, I
don’t think anybody can do anything about them when it comes to data zapping.
Maybe Airtel
has vowed that they will continue to zap subscribers’ data to eternity, though
we did the Airtel new 6GB for N1,500 data plan and noticed that the zapping is quite
reduced and does not zap like hell like the former 3GB for N1,500 data plan.
But you
might want to say that zapping is zapping regardless of the zapping rate and
hence Airtel is not yet free from data zapping, though lately their internet
browsing speed truly improved significantly.
For MTN,
initially everybody can attest that MTN does not zap data and that they have
the best data burn rate, but currently the tide is seriously going against them
as MTN now zaps data wickedly, periodically and mercilessly.
On our
recent experiment with the MTN network with regards to data zapping, we
understand that MTN now zaps data with style; for example, they zaps the data
periodically from time to time and not necessarily all the time you are using
it to browse; maybe today
MTN will zap and tomorrow they will not zap and it
goes on like that.
And again if
you go around recently, you will easily hear people now complaining more about
MTN network on the way it zaps data, which is a clear indication that MTN now
truly zaps data.
Then finally
and surprisingly, the network that does not zap data at all currently is Glo
network; Glo data deduction rate is now perfect and apart from poor network in
many areas, you will hardly hear people complaining about Glo data zapping.
And truth be
told here, the Glo network in terms of browsing speed has improved greatly down
here unlike a month ago when it was a nightmare using Glo network to access the
network.

of course it has to be glo. a network that is poor can't zap data now.
ReplyDeleteglo is so poor in my location that you can use 5hrs just to download a 2mb file.
I use to have the same problem @walat until I set my Glo mobile data permanently on 3G or wcdma provided I have service even if its 1bar on 3G the speed is awesome. But when it was set on auto mode I had very slow downloaded and browsing speed. But now in the same location I download at a. Speed of 300 to 800kbps most times, I ll suggest you try this setting..
ReplyDeleteI was talking about 3G. in my location if you put it on EDGE or 2G you won't get reception not to talk of internet access
DeleteAirtel still zaps data, I did the N1.500, for 6gb, I used 295mb, in my data usage settings it also indicated 295mb but Airtel deducted 590mb from my 6gb, which was exactly the 2 times of what I consumed, They are still zapping data with this plan but then N50 for 1.5gb midnight plan doesn't zap data.
