MTN To Introduce Transaction Fee On Share And Sell Service, Starting End Of This Month

And MTN has finally joined the recession wagon that is currently causing inflation on all items in the country, but this time around it is on their Share n Sell transfer service, the service that have been allowing MTN subscribers to freely transfer airtime from N50 worth and above to other subscribers.

Now with effect from the 31st of January, 2017 MTN Share n Sell transfer service will no longer be free as MTN subscribers will then have start paying transaction fee on any airtime transfer initiated to other MTN subscribers.

It is worthy to note that since the inception of MTN share n sell service some years back, the service has been running without attracting any transfer fee.

But MTN is putting an end to that and by the end of this month, subscribers will now be forced to pay transfer fee depending on airtime transfer amount as highlighted below;

•  Those transferring from N1 worth of airtime to N100 will be charged N1 transfer fee

•  Then for those transferring airtime worth of N101 to N500, they will be charged N2 transfer fee

•  Transfer from airtime worth of N501 to N1000, will be charge N5 transfer fee

•  Then for subscribers that will be transferring from N1001 worth of airtime to N5000, they will be charge N10 transfer fee

•  Subscribers that will be transferring airtime worth of N5001 and above will be charged N50 fee per transfer of such nature.

As we already said, this new MTN share n sell transfer fee is expected to kick-start by the 31st of this month.
