How to know if your Airtel SIM is eligible for the 2 months, #1500, BIS unlimited (4GB) Plan
We all know
that the cost of internet subscription in our country today is very high and
for websites and blogs owners, the cost of subscribing constantly to an
internet bundle to enable us browse and work on our websites/blogs has been one
of the major challenges facing many of us, that is why at the mention of any
cheaper means of browsing, the rush for such package is always seen and felt.
I am still
using this opportunity in appreciating the Airtel network for allowing us to
use the BIS to connect directly and browse seamlessly on any device without the
use of any third party software.
I can categorically tell you that with the Airtel BIS working on system for long now has remained the cheapest form of internet subscription and browing on any device as compared to other competing network. For me I don’t have any issues with the quality of internet service and browsing speed of Airtel in my location, it has always been blazing like a wild fire in my area anytime I hit the connect button.

In my
previous post here, relating to this, I talked
about how to use the Airtel #1500 BIS unlimited (2GB) plan on PC and other
devices.
I also mentioned there that some selected SIMs are even allowed to get up to 4GB of data for a 2 months period with that same #1500, though the criteria for allowing some SIMs to acquire the 4GB data for such amount is still not known to any, but best known to Airtel.
Initially, it was thought that
the old SIMs and also heavy users of their network are mainly those that enjoy
the 4GB data for only #1500, but such assertion holds little or no water as
some Airtel SIMs of not even more than one month old and of lesser usage have
been used to successfully subscribed for the 4GB unlimited package.
So Airtel still remains the only ones that knows the criteria which is best known to them in determining the eligibility of SIMs for the 4GB unlimited plan.

So Airtel still remains the only ones that knows the criteria which is best known to them in determining the eligibility of SIMs for the 4GB unlimited plan.
In this very
post, I am here to show you how to know if your Airtel SIM is eligible for the
4GB plan, because you will not like or want a situation whereby maybe out of excitement
that you know you can get 4GB of data that you can use to browse on any device
for just #1500 and for a period of 2 months, and all of a sudden after loading
the #1500 and trying to subscribe to the 4GB plan, you are then been told that
you are not eligible for the plan.
In other words, it is always good to know beforehand anything you are going into in order to take charge of whatever you are doing, in this case in order for you to know if you will be given 4GB or not, even before jumping outside to buy the #1500 recharge card.

So for you
to determine whether your Airtel SIM is eligible for the #1500 unlimited, 4GB,
2 months plan, all you need to do is to just follow the simple steps below then
you are done
===> Insert
any airtel SIM that you want to check into any phone, with or without airtime
in it.
===> Dial
the code for the #1500, 4GB plan subscription, which is *440*161#
Then take note:
If your SIM
is eligible and you have up to #1500 in it, you will immediately be subscribed
to it and the #1500 will be deducted and you will get a successful confirmation
message, but if you don’t have money in the SIM or if your credit is below #1500, you
will get this reply from Airtel ‘‘Dear subscriber, your request was not successful
because you do not have sufficient balance to activate this service’’.
With that reply, it means, your SIM is eligible, so you can go ahead and load your #1500 card and subscribe to the 4GB plan if you don't have the #1500 on the SIM already.

But if your
SIM is not eligible, you will definitely get this reply ‘’Dear customer, you
are not eligible for this offer, kindly call *141*1# to select other blackberry
2+1 offers’’.

ReplyDeletePls mine is not eligible. How do I make it eligible to use. ?
ReplyDeleteSorry to say, there is no way to make it eligible for now as SIM eligibility is determine by Airtel computers. It is their computer that places some SIMs into white lists signifying that your SIM is eligible. but maybe as you go on using that SIM for some time, the computer might decide to white list it, but though not a guarantee.
DeleteI know someone whose 1500 plan was activated for a week or so then it stopped
ReplyDeleteit has never stoped for anyone, it most likely be a temporal network issue, you can ask the person again, I am sure he will tell you that it started working again thereafter
