From High-Definition (HD) T.V.s, 2014 will be witnessing series of Ultra-High Definition (UHD) T.V.s
It is
absolutely amazing how fast changes in technology are taking the tolls in
virtually all ramification of human existence.
When it comes to viewing and display technology like that of the T.V., I can barely recall that mono-chrome television that stood on a table in front of our sitting room about 2 decades ago and was a pride then and almost a show of ostentation for anybody that owns one of its kind.

The funny and dramatic aspect of the whole super-sonic-speed changes in this aspect of technology was that just yesterday you will hear people discussing on how the HD T.V.s have transformed the image qualities and sounds obtainable from what was termed the standard T.V.s of our time into crystal clear pictures and sounds with very high resolution that differs greatly from the standard T.V.s, but today the next thing that they are about to witness are Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) TV which is about four times higher in resolution to the HD T.V.s.
Meaning that
the HD T.V.s are about to lose their superiority that they have garnered in
recent times and most likely to take up the standard T.V.s position whereas UHD
T.V.s will now take over the HD TVs positions and then become the much talked
about and sort for TVs.

This also
can easily draw one’s mind back on the set of video players that were developed
in the past and presently, where you now have the blue-ray players outsmarting
the formerly highly rated DVD players.
Back to the topic
of the day, the year 2014 will be witnessing series of UHD TVs from different
giant electronics manufactures. As we have earlier mentioned, the UHD TVs will
be having a display resolution 4 X higher than the normal HD TVs. The UHD TVs
will be coming in different variants and with the Organic Light-Emitting Diode
(OLED) version with touting black display seeming to be having the best picture
quality. Other variant that you will also see will be the Ultra-Wide version
and some others.

Since the
UHD TVs are definitely built with the future in mind, they are equipped with
High-Definition Media Interface 2.0 (HDMI 2.0) and High-Efficiency Video Coding
(HEVC) to support future 4K Blu-ray discs and 4K broadcast. Also, not still
deviating from its predecessor’s features, it incorporates the smart TV and 3D
functions. Some of the models come with Mobile-High-Definition Link 3.0 (MHL
3.0) that provides 4K screen mirroring.
Some of this
UDH TV from their manufacturers that you will be seeing later this year
includes but not only;
= => the
Sony Bravia X9000
= =>
Panasonic AX800
= => LG
UB9800
= =>
Samsung U9000
We look forward to their release and will be talking more about them when they are finally delivered to the market
