Guess which phone won the best smartphone award of 2013 in the smartphone category in the on-going Mobile World Congress event
Still on the
on-going Mobile Word Congress (MWC) taking place in Barcelona, and just as I reported few days ago that lot of things will still be happening in the event till the end of today, and also what has been seen recently as the greatest exhibition of mobile devices
that will no doubt definitely shape the mobile technology trend this year.
Similar to
the way that world football governing body FIFA annually host a prestigious
event to announce the world best footballer of the year, popularly known as the Balon d’Or
award which normally takes place at the beginning of every year where the world best footballer of the previous year is awarded the crown, so is the best smartphone award
in the digital and smartphone world. This time around, taking place at the
on-going MWC in Barcelona.
The best
Smartphone of 2013 has just been announced by the GSM Association in the
on-going event. We have been following closely most of the event taking place
in the MWC and if I may ask you, on your own, which of the phones launched last
year would you have voted for to be crowned the glory.
Let go
straight now and see if your answer would have collided with what we have at
hand as the best smartphone of the year 2013.
The HTC One
has just been announced the best smartphone of 2013 by the GSM Association in
the on-going MWC in Barcelona. It beats the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung
Galaxy note 3, Apple iphone 5s, LG G2 and Nokia Lumia 1020 which were all in
the race for the prestigious award. But in terms of sales, the Samsung Galaxy
S4 outsmarted the rest.
So one may
ask on what basis or platform was the HTC one chosen ahead of others?
The basis
announced on which the HTC one stole the show amongst it contenders for the
award was simply on its unique design. We all know that all the phones
competing for the award are all loaded with wonderful features, but the HTC one
clear design was absolutely irresistible and made the difference in the eyes of
many and the judges.

With a
unique aluminium body, the frame of the HTC one gives it a majestic feeling. Taking
the manufacturers approximately three and the half hours to manufacture each of
the HTC one frames, one can easily say that they definitely know where they are
heading to. Followed by being the first to feature the Blink-feed, a news
aggregator app that brings all the latest news right straight in front of your device
is an indication that the HTC one has it all.
And with a
dual speaker design, with one at the top and the other at the bottom along with
two touch buttons at the bottom screen, what more can we say about the HTC one
unique design?
After looking at all its design features, one can now see reasons with the GSM Association for singling out the HTC one smartphone and crowning it the best smartphone award of 2013.

I have a
teaser question for you…. Since I have finally let the cat out of the bag for
you by telling the answer to the topic of the day, I will want you on the other
hand to tell us the smartphone that the HTC one succeeded for the award, i.e.
the smartphone that won the prestigious award in 2012 before the HTC one took
over, if really you have been following digital trend and you are knowledgeable
in the smartphone world.
