Alert! All airtel BIS data bundle plans are now lesser by half when used on Android, PC and other non-blackberry devices
This post
was made as a result of many people complaining to me that their airtel BIS no
longer last for them on their Android devices and also when used with modem on
their PCs.
In my April update on airtel BIS browsing on non-blackberry devices, I made mention of how airtel started zapping BIS data on non-blackberry devices since the beginning of the month towards the last paragraph of that article.
In my April update on airtel BIS browsing on non-blackberry devices, I made mention of how airtel started zapping BIS data on non-blackberry devices since the beginning of the month towards the last paragraph of that article.
But presently,
so many complains have been pouring in concerning this same issue of airtel BIS
data not lasting again on non-blackberry devices, so I decided once again to
use this opportunity to explain to you on the latest development and changes
made by airtel pertaining to how airtel now charges or deduct data bundle when
airtel BIS is used on no-blackberry devices.
These whole
changes all started in this month of April, when using airtel BIS now on your
Android, PC and other non-blackberry devices, airtel now deduct your data
bundle twice as fast as what it used to be previously. And these changes apply
to all the available airtel BIS plans when used on non-blackberry devices.
In other
words, what this simply mean is that for the N1,500 airtel BIS plan that offers
2GB of data for the month, that 2GB in now 1GB, then for the N525 weekly plan
that offers 400mb, the 400mb is now 200mb and for the daily plan of N100 for
80mb, the 80mb is now 40mb and also the same goes for the plans that offer 1GB
previously, the 1GB is now 500mb when used on non-blackberry devices.

The funny
thing here is that after subscription to any of the airtel BIS data plans, and
when you check your BIS data bundle balance with the new code *123*9#, you will see the exact data
bundle balance as it used to be in the past without knowing that there are
changes made to it, but on using the data now to browse on non-blackberry
devices, your data is being deducted twice as fast as the normal deduction.
So if for example you do exhaust your 2GB plan on your Android devices exactly in 1 month time, know that now when doing those exact things that you used to on your Android with the 2GB plan, you are for sure going to exhaust the 2GB data in just 2 week.

If you want
to verify these whole things yourself, now, when using the airtel BIS plan with
your modem on your PC, check your remaining bundle balance first before
connecting and browsing, then browse a little and monitor the data usage on
your modem to PC connection interface.

You will see the actual data that you have consumed on the download data status (not the uploading or sending data status) when you temporarily disconnect your connections, then now check your remaining data bundle balance again, you will notice that the data deducted was twice that of the downloaded data recorded. If you are using Android device, you can also monitor your data usage with the data monitor usage on your Android.

So this
article is meant to alert you and let you know how truly your airtel BIS data
bundle is being deducted as you make use of it on non-blackberry devices, so
that when subscribing now for the airtel BIS, you will have first-hand
knowledge on how your cash and data are being consumed.

ReplyDeleteHello, I use a bb Z10 and I subscribed to the airtel 2gig bundle but only my BBM and whatsapp works. I cant use the browser and other apps don't work. I loaded the N100 twerk to see whether it will work and noticed that it worked but it recognized the 10MB separately i.e when I use the code *123*10 It only shows me the 10mb and when I use the code *123*9... it shows me the 1.5 gig. When the 10MB finished, it stopped working and went back to the old way. Please help. How do I get my browser to work
