Pay per Clicks (PPC) and impression ads publishers: Are you using any Ads block extension on your browser today and if not, why?
This can be
a serious wake up calls for all Pay per Click (PPC) and Per per Maximum
Impression (PPeM) ads nework publishers serving PPC and PPeM ads like Adsense,
Addyanamo, medianet etc. on their blogs/websites.
You might
end up crying foul if ads service to your blog/website was disabled on the
account of invalid activities by any of those ads network providers without
even knowing that you are the chief architect of your own problem.
If I am still speaking in jargon or
alien language and you are yet to understand where I am driving to, then I
implore you to take your time and go back to re-read again the policies of
those ads networks providers in order to recall and also keep up with any
changes that might have been made by them.
Yes it is
true that sometimes, they have countless policies that are even very difficult
to keep up with all of them as publishers and members of their ads network
program.
But it is also very important to have those policies at the back of
your mind as long as you remain their member, or from time to time revisit
those policies to remind you of those you might have forgotten so you start
implementing them again so not have issues with the ads networks providers.
I personally
conducted a survey recently on webmasters serving Google ads on their pages,
where I decided to pose this question from the topic of today to them, i.e. if they use any Ads blocking services like
browser extensions to block their self PPC ads?
The result I
got was scary; as some don’t even know that such services exist, meaning they
must have been generating invalid ads impression while working on their
blogs/websites unknowingly.
Again it
seems majority of them always forgets some of the don’ts of Adsense policy; it is not only ‘Do not click on your ads
neither to encourage others to do same’, but inclusive is Do not generate or inflate fake (self) ads impressions too to your ads.

They always
remember don’t click on your ads but
tend to forget the other part don’t
generate fake impressions.
It is in
this vein that I am reminding you that constantly generating self-ads impressions
too on browser you always use for your blogging is also considered invalid
activity that can lead to ads serving disabling on your account.
The solution
to stop the generation of fake (self) ads impression on your favourite browser
is quite simple. There are many free adblock extensions for Mozilla, Chrome
and other browser that when added to the browser will save you from invalid self-ads
impressions that can jeopardize your account.
You can read: Long blog post or short blog posts, which is recommended?
For Chrome
browsers for example, you have Adblock
Plus, Adblock Premium and many others. And the good thing is that most of
these extensions are even free to install and use on your browser.
They are extremely
easy to use, and with just a click after installation, you can pause, decide
which page you want ads not to display and so on. It is recommended you use
them when visiting your own page on your favourite browser and PC, and when
constantly refreshing your pages, maybe as result of replying to comments or
working on your blog.
Today as I have
said earlier, it is a wakeup call for you to install one of these extensions on
your favourite browser and stay safe with your blog. Another good thing working
with your ads free page is that it also prevents you from mistakenly clicking
on your ads which is also against the policy.

Note that when
you are using these ads block extensions on your favourite browsers, it is only
that your current browser and PC that ads will be blocked as you set it, as others
will continue to see your ads and click on them if the ads interest them.

the knowledge round and also keep them safe.
