How to check airtel android data balance
Just
last month, airtel became the first and only network provider in the country to
greet the teeming android users with android data bundle plans.
The
two airtel android data plans that were recently launched are the 2GB plan that goes for N2,000 for 1
month duration and the 4.5GB for
N3,500 and also for 1 month.
If
you want to subscribe for the 2GB plan, just dial the code *437# and for the 4.5GB, the subscription code is *438#.
Now
when you have succeeded in subscribing to any of the plans, at any given point
within the validity period of 1 month, if you want to check for your android subscription data balance, you
should simply dial the code *223#,
and your remaining balance will be displayed.
Now
let’s look at other things associated with this airtel android bundle plans
that you need to know
=
=> The bundle rate i.e. how your data bundle is being charged is charged at
1 Kobo/Kb from 9:59PM to 5:59AM, then from 5:59AM to 9:59PM your bundle is
charged at 1.5Kobo/Kb. You should note that whenever you browse without bundle
i.e. from your direct airtime balance, data rate are normally charged at 5Kobo/Kb.
=
=> You cannot roll over remaining or unused data into your next android data
subscription, however if you subscribe again before the expiration date of your
current data plan, the data bundle will add up to your plan.
You can read: MTN night data plan allday browsing on Android renewed
=
=> The airtel android data plan can also be used on non-android devices,
just the same way you use your airtel BIS on any device.
=
=> Always note that airtel APN remains the same i.e. internet.ng.airtel.com
whenever you want to set up any device with this data bundle plan.
Those
are all you need to know about the new airtel android data plans, as we look
forward for other network providers in the country to follow suit.

ReplyDeleteIm using it and i cant explain why my mb runs out fast. I finishe 2g in 2 weeks and mind you im not a heavy user, i dont even download stuffs. I didnt update apps and yet its exhausted.
ReplyDeleteMy dear that's airtel for u..their data subscription are always cheaper compared to other networks but their deduction rate as u browse is very high e.g if u download a file of 10mb they deduct 25mb instead of d 10mb..and mean while that sub is for bb device so that's y it won't last when using it on android,iPhone or any other device.... but I will still advice u turn off auto syncing on ur phone, this will make it last a bit longer..... to get tips on how to make it Last as if you are using it on a blackberry phone visit www.9jasoftware.blogspot.com or contact me on 2348100247677.....also u will get cheat codes on how to get free mb / gb from any network without paying a dine
DeleteNice one, guess there is a 2k for 4gb 2 month now on Airtel only eligible subscribers.*437*1#
ReplyDeleteHi Bobby,
DeleteYes you are right, and also that of 9GB for 3.5k for same 2 months
How do you activate it and does it work on tablets????
DeleteYes it works on Tablets, you activate the 4GB own by dialing *437*1# and that of the 9GB by dialing *438*1# Note that not all SIMs are eligible for that. But you can give it a trail and know if you SIM is eligible before subscribing by dialing the code without airtime on you SIM.
DeleteIf you get a message that says that you have insufficient credit, then know that you are eligible, you can then go ahead to recharge and subscribe.
Another thing that I will like you to know is that if you are eligible and after subscription, for you to be able to be subscribing in subsequent time, you have to roll over your data to the next month by not allowing your subscription to expire be subscribing for another one, otherwise you won't be able to subscribe again after your 1st subscription
Please how can you check when the access will expire
ReplyDeleteWhen you check the balance with the method above, they will also include the access expiry date, so you don't need any other code for that
DeleteNo they do not include the expiry date. I was going to ask the same question
DeleteHow do I roll over a data?
ReplyDeleteJust subscribe b4 the one u have expires
DeleteThis is fabulous, I am using it now and I am enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteHi Ogbonnaya,
Deleteglad to know that you are using it and also enjoying it
Hi Edwin
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information share but d code *223# doesn't reveal data expiry date.Do u by any means knw of any other method?
*140#
DeleteI subscribed but I got only one month subscription instead of two
ReplyDeleteI believe you must have dialed the wrong code ( the one month code) because both of them are quite similar and the same price, if not you should be given your extra gig an extra month.
DeletePls Edwin, I find it so difficult in browsing on my Laptop using Tethering & Hotspot. In other networks, I enjoy this service, but on Air tel android data, I don't. What should I do....
ReplyDeleteyou can consider using USB tethering or if you have a modem, you can insert the SIM directly and browse on your system, though I know this might be a bit awkward in taking out your SIM all the time. So consider using USB tethering as alternate choice.
DeleteAnd if I may ask, is it that it doesn't connect at all when trying to tether with hotstpot or it connects but doesn't browse?
Please, how to check the expiration of airtel bundle on android
ReplyDeleteThe expiration is supposed to show together with the balance check
DeleteThe code doesn't show the expiration date.
ReplyDeleteThe expiration date does not show with the *223# code but if you use *141# and choose the first option 'check data bundle', a text will be sent to you with your bundle balance and expiration date.
Deletetry *123*9# or *123*10#
