I forgot to backup or copy out my Android IMEI while changing to Blackberry IMEI
To forget no
doubt is one of the unique characteristics of man, since the brain is not being
programmed like a computer.
Even on our
part, sometimes while putting up articles, we tend to forget some juicy parts.
Forgetting is also applicable to changing the IMEI of your Android device to that of a Blackberry.
Most times,
people tend to forget to back up their original Android IMEI first before going
ahead with the changing process.
Now you have
successfully changed your Android IMEI to that of a Blackberry but forgot to
backup or copy out your original Android IMEI, what should you now do in this
case if you feel like restoring your original android IMEI?
Must read: Root all your android devices now
Well if you
forgot to do so, I got your back covered on that and you have no single cause
for alarm. There are about 3 different ways you can get back your lost original
android IMEI and they are;
1. Simply take off your android phone back
cover and remove the battery, you should be able to see a white sticker/label
at the back of the phone that contains your IMEI.
But now you have followed
the above procedure but could only find a single IMEI whereas your phone is
dual SIM with dual IMEI, so where
can I find the second one?
Never too worry, just jump to method
2 below and you will know where to get the second IMEI.

2. You can also get back your original
IMEI from the original casing/carton of your android phone. Just look for where
you kept the original pack for your phone and carefully cross examine the
sides, you should also see a white sticker/label containing the two IMEI of your
dual SIM android device.
But wait…it seems you have misplaced the original casing of
your phone or you bought your phone as a fairly used device (Second-hand)
without the original pack, what should you do in this case?
Well…don’t still get worried, just jump to the step 3 and the
final method of retrieving your lost IMEI.
3.
This is the last resort and final hope for you to get back your failed to
backup android IMEI. After you have exhausted the 2 methods above and still to
no avail, what you should do now is for you to pick up that your Android
device, head straight to Settings
and then go to Backup and reset,
thick the backup checkbox and then factory reset your phone, after which
your phone will be restored with the original IMEI (single and double)
Hurray! Now you
have succeeded in retrieving your lost original Android IMEI even after you
initially failed to back it up before changing to Blackberry IMEI.

ReplyDeleteHi wondering if I can change the Imei of a q10, am using etisalat on my 9780 and I really have been enjoying it, but buying data on bb q10 is not gonna be funny as I have my modem to recharge as well as my my bb so doing 3k on bb would not make sense for me, what is the best way for me to use the Etisalat on the q10 and still run it on BIS ? I had airtel in mind though if there is no alternative.
ReplyDeleteIt is not easy to tweak the IMEI of q10, you can go for the airtel if it is fast in your location
