APN, Proxy Server Address and Dial Numbers for MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat Internet Manual Configuration
This is just
an update for those who still find it difficult to manually configure their
devices for internet access on any of the 4 major networks in the country.
APN stands for Access
Point Name and it is a unique name for internet gateway on any particular
network and therefore any network providers must have their unique APN for
internet connectivity.
While Proxy Server Address is a unique number/address that shows the location of a
particular network servers participating on the internet.
On the other hand, Dial
Number is also a unique number that
is used to set up internet network and in this case, the dial number is the
same for all the networks.
Below, we are going to be showing you the current and working
APN, Proxy Server Address and Dial Number for MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat
network in case you want to manually set up your devices such as phones, modem
etc. for internet access;
For MTN;
APN = => web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Proxy Server Address = => 10.191.212.1
Dial Number = => *99#
For Airtel;
APN = => internet.ng.airtel.com
Proxy Server Address = => 172.018.254.5
Dial Number = => *99#
For Glo;
APN = => glosecure or gloflat
Proxy Server Address = => 10.100.98.22
Dial Number = => *99#
For Etisalat;
APN = => etisalat
Proxy Server Address = => 10.71.170.5
Dial Number = => *99#
So when setting up your devices for any of the network listed
above, any of the field of APN, Proxy Server Address and Dial Number should be
added as indicated above, and also note that all the port for APN are given as
880.
