Good News for Twitter Users; Get Ready for an Increased Search Engine Traffic to Your Tweets and Webpages this Season
For those that
owns webpages with Twitter account and need increased traffic to their tweets
and consequently to their pages, this piece will interest you greatly.
Google and
Twitter has signed a deal that will soon make all your tweets appear immediately
on Google search result pages.
By the next
quarter of the year, your tweets will be searchable and can easily be found on
search results, which are in line with the recent agreement between Twitter and Google for
Twitter to provide access to its firehouse data stream to Google.
With access
to Twitter firehouse data stream, what that simply implies is that, Google will
no longer have to crawl the tweets of millions of twitter users before they can
appear on search results, but rather the tweets will immediately appear on
search results as they are being tweeted.
Work is in
top gear between Google engineers and Twitter engineers to integrate this
service and will likely take effect in couple of months to come when the
integration is finally complete.

This was one
of the major deals that Twitter CEO Dick
Costolo has struck in recent times
with major search providers like Yahoo/Bing and Google.
No doubt
that the deal will be of immense benefits to both parties and is to be seen as
win-win situation for both of them.
As for
Twitter, it will benefit from the deal by seeing more frequent long-ins by
Twitter account owners and it also has the potentials of converting or even
monetizing log-out users.
