How to Register for the Compulsory Bank Verification Number (BVN) Before the Deadline Date
The Central
Bank of Nigeria last year issued a directive to all the commercial banks
operating in the country to start the enrollment and issuing of BVN to all their
customers in a bid to enhance greater security on access to sensitive or
personal information in the Banking System.
The BVN is
said to give each customer a unique identity across the Nigerian Banking
Industry and that can be used for easy identification at point of carrying out
any bank transactions.
Take for
instance, that you went to the bank to carry out some transactions that
required you to present your ID, and it happens that you forgot your ID but you
are with your BVN, at this point you have nothing to worry as the bank will now
use your BVN and allow you to go ahead with your transactions.
Our aim
today, is to show you how you can easily register for your BVN before the
deadline date set aside which is on the 30th of June, 2015.
Rumours have
been flying around that bank customer that fails to register for the BVN will
no longer be allowed to carry out certain transactions; therefore the
importance of registering for your own BVN cannot be overemphasized since every
rumour these days comes with it an iota of truth.
