How to Unbar Recharge-barred MTN Line

The main thing that could cause your MTN line on being barred from loading recharge card airtime is when you load an incorrect recharge PIN for more than 2 times.

Recently, there is this on-going trick that people have used to get free MTN recharge credits ranging from 1500 airtime and below; and the trick is all about you dialling *555*0000thelast8digitsofyourMTNnumber#

But if you go ahead to dial that recharge trick now, MTN will immediately bar your number from loading recharge card and you will need to unbar your line before you can load a recharge card.

Now the question is; if you have been barred as a result of trying out that free airtime trick or maybe as result of loading incorrect recharge PIN more than 2 times, how do you now manually unbar your line?

To unbar a recharge-barred MTN line, you have 2 options;

1.    You can call the MTN customer help line and request that they should unbar your line; but since you and I know that sometimes trying to speak with an MTN customer assistant can even take the whole day for them to answer you, then you can opt for the second method below of unbarring.

2.    You can unbar your MTN line by just waiting – just wait for about 1 or 2 hours and your MTN line will be automatically unbarred. But if after 2 hours, your MTN line is still unbarred, then you will still have to wait till 12-midnight of that same day and your line will be unbarred.
