Octa(8)-Core is Outdated as MediaTek(MTK) Unveils Deca(10)-Core Mobile Processor
I know that
some of you are still battling it out with MTK phones with quad(4)-core processor, while some of you have upgraded to Hexa(6)-core processor and currently,
many of you are enjoying the efficiency of using octa(8)-core processors.
But do you
know what? The Taiwanese MTK
processor manufacturer is even saying that Octa-core is not enough and has gone
ahead to unveil Deca(10)-core
processor known as Helios X20, which
they claim will offer improved performance and better power efficiency than
other processors.
The Helios X20 processor will be packed in
clusters of a single dual-core
processor together with a pair of quad-core processor.
The
dual-core cluster which utilizes 2 ARM
Cortex-A72 2.5GHz processor will be responsible for carrying out intensive tasks,
while the pair of quad-core processors will both handle the medium and low
scale computing.
