How to Detect a Fast and Slow Smartphone Power Charger
Most
Smartphone users often desire to see their devices charge up faster after the
battery must have run down and when plugged into a power outlet.
But sometimes
the reverse is the case as some smartphones when plugged takes almost a whole
day to charge from flat battery to full, and which often raise the question; why
do some phones charge faster than others?
The reason(s)
might not be farfetched as some of you already know, and the two major and most
common reasons why some phone batteries take very long hours to charge up and
others require only minimal time is based on the smartphone inbuilt charging technology and the phone’s power charger (charger head).
The both of
them, if put into consideration by smartphone companies on the course of
manufacturing their devices, will definitely result in devices that charge up
very fast – let’s say 1h 30min to
charge fully a fully drained modern smartphone batteries.
But most
times, we don’t usually see nor have both pieces of technology come to play,
and it is either you have only the phone charger with the fast charge
technology while the devices itself is built with conventional charging technology and vice versa; and even on many occasions both the phone
charger and the phone itself are built without any fast charging technology.
No doubt
that today, phone manufacturers are beginning to embrace the fast charging technologies
in an increased rate unlike before, and it is now easier to see smartphones
with inbuilt quick charge technologies and quick charge chargers.
Having said
all that and back to the major topic of discussion, today we are going to show
you how you can easily detect fast and slow charging smartphone chargers.
Remember
that we said that it is not only the phone charger that determines the fastness
of charging your phone batteries, however with fast phone charger, the faster
the charging than when you are charging with slow charger.
Without further
ado, here we go; the idea behind the whole thing has not gotten into a rocket science
technology as to start saying that it is only the science inclined students
will understand how to read the power
ratings for smartphone chargers.
It just a
little visual practical physics that you will all understand and now to know a
fast phone charger or a slow phone charger, this is what to do;
= =>just
pick up your phone charger now and look at the output
(not the input) power ratings.
And these
are what you should expect to know whether your phone charger or other phone
chargers are fast chargers or slow chargers;
On a general
note and what you see as normal charger
is when you look at the charger and you see the power output ratings as 5V ----1A or
it can also be written as 5V----1000mA.
The interpretation
of that is that the charger is giving out 5volts
(voltage) of electricity with 1Amp (Ampere)
Current of electricity; in the
second case that you might see it written as 5V ----1000mA, it is just the same thing as the interpretation
above, the 1000mA is the same as 1A, the small m just stands for milli
(one 1000th) which is 1/1000.
Now for a slow phone charger, since most smartphones output
voltage is 5V, whenever you look at the phone charger power ratings and see
anything lower than 1000mA on the
current side, then you should automatically know that you are dealing with a slow charger; you might see it written like
this 5V ----750mA – just know that
this is a slow charger power rating – anything lower than 1000mA is slow charger.
Finally for
the Fast phone chargers, When you
look at the output power ratings of your phone charger and see something like
this 5V --- 2A or it can be written
as 5V ----2000mA then you should
know that you have a fast phone charger – in other words, anything higher than 1A (1000mA) is considered a faster phone charger; and if you can even
see 3000mA (very uncommon) the
fastest the charger will be.
So those are
the simple ways you can easily tell whether you have a fast, normal or slow
phone charger.
Now you can
just pick up your phone charger and check (experiment) and tell us below the
comment box if your phone charger is a fast charger or a slow one.

Mine is below 1000A.... Very bad.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder my phone is damn slow while charging.
I will get a better one with 2000A.
Thanks
