Why On Earth Will Airtel 1GB For N100 Data Be Made Available To Only Some So Called Eligible SIMs!
We told you
about Airtel early this month introduction of cheapest weekend data of 1GB for N100, usable on Saturdays and Sundays.
But now the
problem here is that Airtel again went ahead to make this cheap data plan for
only some eligible SIMs.
We have
asked this question time without number on why on earth will Airtel still be
adopting this archaic method of distributing internet data to only some so
called eligible SIMs.
And the
funniest of all is that those so called eligible SIMs have no any major
criteria for being eligible.
You can go
to the market today and buy an Airtel SIM and notice that the SIM is eligible for
the Airtel 1GB for N100 weekend data plan, and then you can go to the same
market in an hour time to buy another Airtel SIM and notice that it is not
eligible for the plan.
In fact lots
of people have reported that their SIMs which was eligible for the first time
they subscribed to this cheap data, all of a sudden became ineligible for their
next subscription…this is just arrant craziness!
Please do
you see any rationale behind Airtel making some of their SIMs eligible for
particular data plan while some SIMs are made ineligible?
I call this
act absolutely illogical and in fact these are some of the things that NCC
should be looking out for from these GSM network providers and possibly a fine
of N1 trillion also on Airtel will suffice for suffering their loyal
subscribers.
Airtel
should not forget that MTN are still breathing through their anus after the
fine levied upon them.
Feel free to share your own personal opinion on this Airtel matter of making some of their SIM eligible and some SIMs ineligible.
Do you
concur that they also deserved to be fined for raising your hopes high of getting
1GB data for N100, only for you to try to subscribe and see a reply that your
SIM is not eligible for the offer?

Ehen... I noticed that too. It worked for me last 2 weekends but when I tried again last week it was telling me that I was not qualified.
ReplyDeleteEven the Customer care guy sef say him too no dey eligible even one time, that the network randomly selects it's benefactors.
You can imagine that even their representatives are not eligible, then of what use is the SIM eligibility stuff.
DeleteAirtel should just stop that, and it should either be that all airtel SIMs are eligible or none is
