AT&T Gearing Up For 5G Network Technology
While some
of you in the country are still wallowing on 3G network technology that is even
lacking in many areas and not to mention 4G LTE, the best that telecom and
network providers like MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat are offering to their
growing subscribers down here is 3.75G network.
And most
times you need to locate and go close to MTN, Airtel, Glo or Etisalat cell
tower before you can even access a strong 3.75G network.
On the
contrary, American leading telephone provider AT&T and leading wireless telecom provider Verizon are already in partnership talks of delivering unprecedented,
high-speed 5G network for even deeper broadband and cellular data penetration.
AT&T is
planning to start a field test of 5G network in some part of the US before the
end of this year.
If you ever
thought that 4G LTE is all about speed, the 5G network technology is promising
to be 100 times faster than 4G.
Maybe it
will be best to term this upcoming project “Speed of light data technology”
Though no agreed
standard has been set or adopted for global 5G technology, but AT&T is planning
to work towards adaptable standard that can handle any future-set-standard.
Finally with
4G LTE already recorded as success since its inception, AT&T and Verizon also
believe that the 5G network will in the same vein record future successes.
