Has Etisalat Just Removed Subsidy On Borrowing Credit By Doing This?
At the early
hours of yesterday, Etisalat subscribers across the country were greeted with this
text message;
“Dear Customer, starting from 26th
May 2016 the service fee of 10% on Easy credit borrowed airtime will be
15%.....”
In other words
before, Etisalat subscribers used to borrow airtime from Etisalat network at
service fee of 10%, but according to Etisalat as you have seen above, that
starting from today, those subscribers who borrow airtime from their network
will no longer have to pay 10% interest but will from now and henceforth pay at
an increased rate of 15%.
I.e. to say
before if you borrow N100 from Etisalat, you will be credited with N90 worth of
airtime and you will pay back later with N100 amounting to 10% or N10 interest
rate but from now on, if you borrow N100 you will be credited with N85 and you
will repay N100 at 15% or N15 interest rate.
Our question
now is; has Etisalat also removed subsidy on borrowed credits by such move?
Well for
those that will still want to borrow at emergency situations, to borrow airtime
from Etisalat easy credit, all you need to do is to first of all check whether
you are credit worthy by dialling *665*3# and if it happens you are, you can
then go ahead to borrow the allowable amount by dialling *655*Amount#
For example
if you want to borrow N200, you will dial as follows *555*200#
