Is MTN XtrPro Daily N5 Access Fee Deducted Daily By 00:00hr Or After A Chargeable Call In A Day?
MTN recently
launched two new cheap call tariff plans, MTN XtraSpecial and MTN XtraPro, and
between these two tariff plans, the XtraPro appears to be the cheapest,
offering MTN subscribers the ability to make calls to all network at flat rate
of 11k/s (N6.60K/min) after a daily access fee of N5.
But the
question here is on how the N5 daily access fee is being deducted; on whether
it is deducted daily by 00:00hr with or without MTN subscribers making any call for the day or
deducted only during the first call of the day?
If you
recall, MTN ones had similar call tariff plan to the newly introduced MTN
XtraPro in the name of MTN True Talk
Plus, which offer similar call rates to all network at 11K/S and with N5
daily access fee.
On the
defunct MTN True Talk Plus tariff plan, the daily N5 access fee was deducted
from subscribers credit balance once it is 00:00hr with or without the
subscribers making any call, but with the new MTN XtraPro, MTN got something a
little different, as the N5 daily access fee is not deducted daily as such but
only deducted when you initiate your first chargeable call for the day.
In other
words on the new MTN XtraPro call tariff plan, MTN subscribers are allowed to
make calls to all networks in the country at flat rate of 11K/S with daily
access fee of N5, which is only deducted when subscribers make their first call
in the day, thereby currently making it the cheapest GSM call tariff plan
together with Etisalat EasyLife 4.0 Limited Edition tariff plan.
Other
networks like Glo and Airtel also had similar tariff plan as can be gotten in
Glo Gbam Plus for Glo subscribers and Airtel Smart Talk call tariff plan for
Airtel subscribers, but unfortunately, Glo has increased Glo Gbam Plus call rates and Airtel has also increased the rate for Airtel Smart Talk.

This is Misleading. My Family used to be on Truetalk+ and nothing like #5 deducted from your account by 12am. Even If its by 9pm you are making first call of the day, thats when you'll be charged... Access fee charged on first call of the day on Truetalk plus.
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteIt is not misleading and I was expecting you to say you used it yourself and not your family.
Anybody that truly know and used the MTN TrueTalk+ plan will know that we just spoke the right thing.
Maybe you forgot something here;
The MTN True talk Plus plan was initially launched to work that way that you mentioned, but after the launching, it was not even up to a week that NCC sanctioned MTN for introducing True Talk Plus plan without following due process.
MTN on their part after the sanction withdrew the plan temporarily and later reintroduced it again when they now started deducting N5 access fee every 00:00hr with or without subscribers making any call.
So that is how the MTN True Talk Plus played out in the past before it was finally and completely discontinued.
And now it has been replaced with the new MTN Xtrapro as you have above.
Do have a lovely day ahead and thank you for dropping by with your opinion and contribution.
