Opera Makes Do Its Promise, Finally Integrates Ad Blocker On Its Desktop Browser And Opera Mini
Opera has
since been hinting of integrating Ad blocker to its browsers to enhance users’
experience by loading pages clean and devoid from ads.
And finally
today, the Norwegian browser developers Opera have introduced production
version of Opera desktop browser and Opera Mini, which are integrated with Ad blocker.
Aside from
enhancing users experience in the manner mentioned above, Opera added that the
main reason behind the recent action was also to provide faster webpages
loading experience to users, and that test conducted clearly shows that online
ads slow down browsing experience.
But it is interesting
to note that in all effort that Opera has been throwing on the
integration of ad blocker on their browsers, the latest release of
their desktop browser and Opera Mini with integrated ad blocker still show that by default the ad blocker
is disabled, and users who really need it have to switch it on through the
privacy and security page located in the browser’s settings menu for the desktop version and on data savings option in settings menu for Opera Mini.
Users who installed or upgrade to the latest Opera browsers at first will be prompted to skip or to enable ad blocker, and thereafter any action you took can be modified on the browser settings as stated above.

In the
midst of this latest Opera browser release and the criticism that it
has generated, especially coming from advertisers who prefer their ads to be delivered
to online end users without disruption, the ad blocker for Opera desktop
browser appears less significant because of low user base while that of Opera mini will have some great impacts on advertisers owning to the steady rise in mobile users.
Other famous
web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, do not have directly integrated ad blocker
on them but instead allow users to use third party apps, like extensions to put
up ad blocker on their browsers if need be.
