Airtel Also Increases Interest Rate Of Extra (Borrow Me) Credit
It seems that this recession period is real and these network providers are not smiling at all or should we say that they went into a round table meeting discussion and all resolved that they will increase interest rate of their credit loan facility.
Just few days we notified you that MTN increased interest rate of Borrow Me credit, airtel has also joined the queue and have also gone ahead to increase their own interest rate on extra credit to 15%.
And what that simply mean is that starting from today 24th October 2016, all borrowed airtime credit from airtel will be serviced at 15% interest rate against the 10% that it used to be.
And with airtel extra credit, when you borrow airtime, you are credited with lesser amount on the immediate deduction of the service charge, which we now say it’s 15%.
For example if you borrow N100 worth of airtime from airtel from now and henceforth, N75 will be credited to your airtime credit balance, signifying a 15% deduction service charge, and similar 15% deductions will be applicable to other borrowed amount.
Thereafter, anytime you recharge, the Airtel will automatically take back that their borrowed credit.
To borrow airtime from airtel, once you know that you have used up to N250 within a month, you can borrow by using the code *500*AirtimeAmount#
