Just In!!! Planned Data Tariff Increase Suspended

Just in the nick of time, senate has halted the planned increase in data tariffs by the major GSM operators in the country as earlier instructed by NCC.

The initial directives by NCC to the telecoms to increase data price starting from the 1st day of December have been eliciting lots of reactions and many GSM network data subscribers in the county have vehemently kicked against.

MTN even before the 1st of December  has already gone ahead to suspend their pock friendly Pulse night data plan of N25 for 500mb and other network providers have been notifying subscribers of the planned increase in data tariffs.

But after serious deliberations, the senate has waded into the matter and immediately ordered NCC to withdraw that move.

Now that the GSM network operators will no longer increase data prices, will MTN rescind their earlier action of suspending the cheap night data plan or will they hold onto the suspension?
