MTN XtraCash: You Can Now Borrow Real Cash With Your MTN Line

Aside from the normal MTN XtraTime and XtraByte services that allow MTN customers to borrow airtime and data when they run out of airtime or data, MTN has added another interesting value added service to the list and this time around it is the MTN XtraCash, which allows qualified MTN customers to borrow real cash from MTN and pay back later.

MTN XtraCash is a new service from MTN that allows eligible MTN customers to borrow short term micro loan from MTN with their mobile phones via a USSD service.

The first criteria for eligibility is that MTN customers that want to key into the loan facility offered by the new MTN XtraCash service must have an MTN Diamond Yello account and you can easily open an MTN Daimon Yello account by dialling the code *710#

Customers can borrow N5,000 or N10,000 depending on your eligible status and the amount borrowed will be credited into the customers MTN Diamond Yello account with a maturity period of 30 days and payback interest rate of 15%.

As stated, the service is available on your mobile phone via a USSD service and to those with MTN Diamond Yello account. To access the MTN new XtraCash service to borrow cash, all you need to do is to dial the code *606# and reply with the number that correspond with the XtraCash, which is 3.

You will then be taken to the next stage where you will then choose the option to apply for the load and thereafter know the tune of amount that you are allowed to borrow. Once your application is successful, your MTN Yello account would be credited in due time.
