Apple Finally Loosening Up As iPhone 9 Might Witness USB Type-C Connector
For long now, rumours have been thick on Apple working towards ditching the lightning charging connector that its iPhones and iPads normally come with and this time around they are looking in the direction of the now mostly acceptable charging connector standards and that is the USB Type-C.
It seems that the USB Type-C is one of the features in smartphone that is trying to capture the Apple’s eyes as Apple mostly find it difficult borrowing a leaf from other device manufacturers else they prefer being the pace-setters for new and latest innovations, while others follows.
But the reverse is the case this time around, going by the rumour; Apple fans will most likely witness the first iPhone and maybe iPad device to feature USB Type C connector by 2019.
Although other speculations have it that Apple is planning to launch 3 different iPhones before the end of this year and who knows, the USB Type-C might just be inch away against next year’s expectation.
Apart from the USB Type-C allowing data and charging to be done at faster rate than the previous USB Types, other feature of the this universal cable and charging connector that makes it stand out is the reversal charging ability, where users no longer need to determine which of the port head to be plugged in power or devices as anyway round will just be perfect for intended purpose.
Apple has already started adopting the USB Type-C Connector in their new MacBook and MacBook Pro, which is a good sign that the next generations of iPhones and iPads are just away to featuring USB Type-Connector.
It should be noted that the standard USB port version that is compactable for the USB Type-C cable connector is the USB 3.1, which is the current USB connector version in place in most new devices.
