Multichoice Plans Increment Of DSTV Monthly Subscription Rate But A Slash Down On GoTV Rate

There is a report that Multichoice the owners of DSTV satellite Pay TV and GoTV terrestrial cable is planning an increment in the DSTV monthly subscription rate by the beginning of next month.

The new DSTV monthly subscription rates will then be as follow; for subscribers on Premium package that presently goes for N14,700 would witness an increment to N15,800, while Compact Plus package that goes for N9,900 would increase to N10,650; for Compact package there would be an increase from the current N6,300 to N6,800; Family package would go from N3,800 to N4,000 and finally the Access package would be increased from its current N1,900 to N2,000.

On the contrary those on Multichoice GoTV TV Max terrestrial cable monthly subscription would witness a decrease from N3,800 to N3,200 while GoTV Plus, GoTV Value and GoTV Lite subscribers would neither witness any increment nor decrease in their monthly subscription as their monthly subscription rates remain at N1,900, N1,250 and N400 respectively.

Although there have not been official statement for the planed increment but there is usually no smoke without fire.
