Whatsapp New Updates To Feature Swipe To Reply, Dark Modes And Others

The Facebook owned messaging chat app Whatsapp have been adding new and interesting features in new updates in order to make the app more interesting and appealing to users, and among the latest features users are about to witness are the swipe to reply, dark modes, expandable group participants list and much more.

Starting with the Swipe to Reply; this feature is already made available on the iOS platform and any moment from now, Android users will also be getting the update on their platform. Ordinarily if Whatsapp users want to reply a message, they will have to tap and hold on the message for the reply button to come up, but with the swipe to reply feature, users will only need to make a right direction swipe on the message they want to reply and the reply mode would be activated for them to start typing/replying straight away.

The second option that is also in work is known as the dark mode; although Whatsapp did not mention the exact time that the dark mode feature will be released but is a work in progress and it is meant to reduce strain to user’s eyes while they are using the messaging app in low light condition or night-time. And with the dark mode in action, it also tends to minimise battery/power consumption.

Another feature is the expandable group participants list, which is already in the latest updates; with this feature, anytime you have at least 10 participants in a group, a more option button will appear and tapping on it will immediately show the list of the entire participants.
